Joey Pepperoni Experience

This is my first time to write a blog about food but I hope I can present it well to the readers.

Last Saturday, my girlfriend and I have finally decided to eat at Joey Pepperoni - SM Manila branch. We’ve seen this restaurant first at SM Mall of Asia and out of curiosity, we wanted to try it. So let’s start with the first thing you can see when you visit them – their promo. They have this buy two (2) 8-inch pizza for 199 pesos; buy two (2) 12-inch pizza for 399 pesos; eat-all-you-can pasta for 149 pesos and single serve pasta for 99 pesos. Tempting isn’t it?

We entered the place with no customers yet, maybe because it’s quite new to the place. The ambiance is quite cozy, the music will make you’ll feel relaxed, the waiters and waitresses are hospitable and the place is really clean. We were given a menu and they waited for us to order. They have wide selection of food choices and it took us time to make a full order.

Of course we tried what they have for their pizza promo. You can choose 2 different pizza flavors for the available selection for their pizza and we decided to order Meatlovers and Pizza Messicana.

The Meatlovers – an all meat pizza but not your regular oily meaty pizza.

As for the Pizza Messicana – a meaty pizza too with some mushrooms and also spicy. Though, I didn’t felt its spiciness maybe because I have a high tolerance to spicy food but when my girlfriend took a bite she said it’s spicy.

We also ordered Mozzarella sticks for our appetizer. It is good and heavy. So I advise those who have just a regular appetite to have a second thought when planning to order more since you might feel full already from the appetizer itself.

We also ordered our pasta – Carbonara. Serving size: good for two (ordinary person). It is really good, very flavorful and creamy. Just the way we like it.

Of course we’ll not leave without a dessert. So we tried one of their bestsellers – Frozen Cappuccino Mud Pie. Vanilla ice cream on top with coffee crumble and a cookie crust.

They also offer bottomless drinks and we ordered bottomless iced tea for ourselves. It is good with a distinct taste that puzzled us what brand / type of iced tea they are using.

I’d say that we’ll definitely come back to Joey Pepperoni. Oh, I forgot to mention that when we got our bill, there’s no service charge.
